What's a spidercam?
A spider cam is a system made of several cables (3, 4) that allow the use of a remote head to control a camera to capture images from different points of view, in a predetermined area. The camera can go anywhere in the tridimensional space.
There's just some requirements needed to use this system:
- No obstacles in the flying area;
- No moving objects in immediate vicinity of the cableways,
- No Spotlights / Projectors in immediate vicinity of the cables that continuously face the cables,
Here's a small reel of the spidercam images at ESC 2011!
