Vienna-Austria, in this post I'll talk about the sound of the show! This year, the Eurovision team shared some interesting content related to sound!
What would a song contest be without proper sound? There's some technicians and engineers that work hard to deliver the best sound quality to our homes at the time of the show, let's take a look at how the artists listen to their tracks on stage.
Vienna-Austria, here we are back in the land of music dreams. Today I talk about cameras, **claps**!
Today I decided to take a break on my series of posts dedicated to the technical side of ESC because I wanted to talk about a new music video that I found that looks like a commercial.
BTW - Are you on Youtube? I hope so ('cause I have a channel there, if you didn't already know that!)
Although she was at teen at the time of the show, she is now 27 years old. She has always been into music, but I think that her biggest hit is going to be her summer song of 2015, Sparks.
I wanted to talk about this song, and more specifically about it's music video, because as soon as I started to watch it I realized I was being a victim of marketing. I'm used to see small product placements every now and then on some music videos (like making a close up shot of awatch or showing a new smartphone), but I've never seen such a thing of this size!
In case you haven't seen the video yet, I'm talking about this one (if it's not available on the player below click here to see on Youtube):
In the beginning of the year of 2015, ORF, the Austrian national broadcaster, released some digital simulations of how the stage would look like. It's actually not that different from the final stage, except the final one has plexiglass stairs in the front.
Vienna-Austria, Welcome again to the land of Eurovision during the kingdom of 2015. In this post we're going to talk about the stage! Yay!
Vienna-Austria, Welcome to the land of dreams and nightmares of ESC (nightmares of course for the countries who don't get the ticket to go to the final)!
During the past weeks I paid attention to the "assembly" of the contest in Vienna, so during the next weeks I'm going to publish a series of posts, otherwise it was going to be a huge post! I'll publish the articles as soon as I finish them.
The posts are dedicated to the technical side of the contest and NOT the songs, so don't hope to read my opinions... this blog is called "That Camera Angle" for some reason!
Today's post is not completely "technical", but we'll reach that in a few days!
The 60th edition took place at the Vienna Stadthalle, a great place for sports events, but also for concerts, conventions, etc...
songcontest.orf.at reported that the preparations at the arena started on the 8th of April. The trucks with gear started to arrive to the Vienna Stadthalle. The first step after getting the boxes out of the trucks was to pass it on the X-Ray and to let trained dogs to smell them just to make sure they weren't bringing anything dangerous inside the arena!
250 trucks delivered 2500 tons of material!
