This short, directed by José Miguel Ribeiro, is intended to sensitize the waste of paper at the Christmas season. The sets and characters are made from such material.
Even though it's a stop motion film, it has also real footage.
Because the production company, Filmes da Praça, didn't find any film distributor interested in the showcase of movie in national movie theaters, they assumed the distribution of the film, and managed to present the movie in 12 locations this December!
The best part of the film, is that they have a blog in which they were posting the development of the short along the 4 years of production it has lots of pictures and content from the multiple production stages. It's written in Portuguese and in English, and it's worth to take a look, so go check it out here! http://dodu-papeldenatal.blogspot.pt
